Sarah has been practicing yoga with her mom since she was little. She began her own practice in earnest in 1997 trying a variety of styles until she found Ashtanga in 2000. Since then she has been continuously grateful for the impact of yoga in her life and in the opportunity to share her passion with others. She was trained in the It's Yoga system of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga by Larry Schultz, Katie Cariffe, Marie Hajjar, and Todd Taylor. In addition to completing the basic yoga certification program, she also completed the first training program certifying students to teach the Rocket series. Sarah approaches her heart-centered practice with humility and light heartedness, which is clearly experienced in her teaching style. Her teaching is also significantly influenced by her Masters education in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley; with this focus on health, Sarah brings a holistic approach to every session emphasizing the practical aspects of the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of each individual's yoga practice.
