About Us
It's Yoga is the first school to offer The Rocket in South Africa. The Rocket and the It's Yoga system of Ashtanga is a dynamic, fun, and energizing way of practising yoga that builds strength, flexibility, and peace of mind on and off your yoga mat.
The It’s Yoga Cape Town studio, in Table View, was opened in November 2008, by Sarah Stone-Francisco. In November 2010, the studio was taken over by Channette Haupt, to continue with the good work Sarah had started.

Channette
Channette started practising hatha yoga with her mom in 2002. She experimented with various styles of yoga until finding Ashtanga yoga and the Rocket.
Ashtanga yoga and the Rocket has had a huge impact on her daily life. Balancing out the demands of being a designer and locked behind a laptop for too many hours a day. Her committed daily practice has alleviated her 12 year challenge of severe eczema. The practice has lead to her, over time, giving up smoking, alcohol, coffee, wheat and dairy. Giving her a fuller, more rounded experience of daily life.
She has been continuously grateful for the impact of yoga in her life and in the opportunity to share her passion with others.
She was trained in the It's Yoga system of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga by Sarah Stone-Francisco, Jim Harrington and Aldi Groenewald. In addition to completing the basic yoga certification program, she also completed the training program to teach the Rocket series.
Channette approaches her practice with and open mind, humility and light heartedness, finding inner stillness in the dynamic practice, which is clearly experienced in her teaching style.
Her teaching is also significantly influenced by her experience as a qualified Reiki and Chi-Massage Therapist.
